The 19th MARCH is the feast of St JOSEPH.
Whist engaged to Joseph, Mary became pregnant by the Holy Spirit. Joseph would have been permitted by law to have Mary stoned in public for her presumed adultery. Instead he stood by Mary which no doubt saved her life. We must pray that more fathers-to-be would stand by their pregnant partners.
Love can be defined as ‘to always want what is best for another.’ Often when life gets difficult, we start to focus on our own needs and our relationships suffer as a result.
We ask our Blessed Mother Mary to pray for us, that we may courageously love others as St Joseph loved her: Hail Mary…
Reflect: Do you want what’s best for the people you ‘love’ or do you ‘love’ them for what you can get?
