Novena

The nine days between the ASCENSION and PENTECOST began a tradition in the Church of praying Novenas.

A Novena is nine days of prayer for a specific need. The Disciples waited and prayed for the Holy Spirit as they were instructed to by Christ. To this day, Christians pray the NOVENA to the HOLY SPIRIT over these nine days.

We join them as we pray for the Holy Spirit: Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth. O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Spirit we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolation, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Challenge: Is there something you want enough to pray daily for nine days for? Try a Novena!
