Sometimes it can seem really hard to know what to do. This isn’t just the case when there is a tough decision to make, but often it can even be difficult to choose what to do when we have a period of free time – instead of doing something productive we can often end up watching some nonsense on TV or staring blankly at our phone screens.
At SUNDAY’S MASS, in the First Reading we hear that following God’s laws is not a difficult or abstract concept – we are told “it is written in our hearts and well-within our reach”.
The Christian life can be summarised in four words “Love God, Love Neighbour”. In the Gospel, Jesus challenges us to put no limits on our love through the story of the Good Samaritan – our love should extend to all.
Let us pray for God’s help to see the simplicity of what it means to be Christian and to respond with love as we pray: Our Father…
Think: Are there certain people you struggle to love? How does the parable of the Good Samaritan challenge you?
