3 is 1: Simples?

At Pentecost the season of Eastertide ends and the liturgical calendar returns to the season of Ordinary Time. The Sundays following Pentecost continue to be high feasts.

If Pentecost Sunday is in many ways the solemnity of the Holy Spirit, this Sunday we celebrate the fulness of God in the Solemnity of THE MOST HOLY TRINITY.

Pope Francis describes the Trinity as “the love of the Father who is the source of all life, the love of the Son who died on the cross and rose, the love of the Spirit who renews man and the world.”

Let us pray for a threefold experience of the love of God; the love of the Father who gives us life, the love of the Son who redeems us, and the love of the Spirit who renews us as we pray: Glory be to the Father…

Challenge: Our relationships with others are to be like the loving relationship of the Trinity.
