The new way we start each day at JOA! . We’ve changed the day around to make our community COVID safe-er which means we no longer have tutor-time at the start of each day. Instead, pupils will head straight to their first lesson, with a period of tutor time in the middle of the day to offset the new staggered lunch break. . Whilst this means there will be time each day for our pupils to stop, reflect and connect with God, an essential element of Christian life is the Morning Offering – dedicating our life to God at the start of each day and opening ourselves to his will and his grace. Therefore the whole community will begin each day in this way, wherever they are, whatever lesson they’re in, and whoever they’re with. . I invite you to consider making a morning offering each day – it’s a powerful act! The words of this prayer use many of the intentions of traditional offerings which can be found throughout the ages. It addresses our need for protection in this time of danger, and peace amidst the many reasons to be anxious. . Please pray for us and all schools.
