A bit belated – still catching up with 2021! On 6th JANUARY (the 12th Day of Christmas) we celebrate the Solemnity of the EPIPHANY. This feast remembers the arrival of the Magi (Wise Men) which was a sign that Jesus was not just for the Jews but for all the world. The word epiphany means ‘a great revelation’. The problem with being raised and educated Catholic is that the God-story can become so familiar that it can sometimes lose some of its impact – at times we could all do with a fresh Epiphany! This feast also reminds us that Jesus is not just for Catholics, or just Christians, but for those of all faiths and none too. We thank God for the many non-Christians who serve in our school. Let us pray that all Christians would be worthy ambassadors who represent the love and mercy of Christ to those who do not yet know Him in all that they say and do as we pray: Our Father…
